Hickory Ridge Class of 1916



"We often walked to school barefoot, and carried our shoes, which were made from the leather of a saddle. It was hard times back then. We only wore our shoes inside the school. We walked the couple miles to and from school barefoot to protect the soles of the shoes from wearing out."
